The Basilica tour 

The three main basilica tour:

Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, San Giovanni in Laterano Basilica, St.Paul outside the walls Basilica.
 
Your guide will show you some of the treasures and mosaics inside Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica, built in 356 after the miracle snowfall, which is commemorated every August 5^th with a special ceremony.
Continuing on our tour you’ll see and the Lateran Palace before visiting the inside of the Holy Staircase steps, which, according to tradition,Jesus climbed in Pontius Pilatus’ residence.The Basilica of San Giovanni is the Cathedral of Rome and the first church ever built in Rome.
To end our basilicas tour we will arrive at St. Paul outside the walls Basilica.
Built on Saint Paul’s Tomb, it is the second largest in Rome with its medieval mosaics and its wonderful porticoes.
 
N.B. ENTRANCE TO CHURCHES, BASILICAS, CATACOMBS AND OTHER RELIGIOUS PLACES REQUIRES APPROPRIATE CLOTHES (NO SHORTS, MINISKIRTS OR UNCOVERED SHOULDERS). IT IS ALSO ADVISABLE TO WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES.
